Ralink Chooses Azimuth Channel Emulator to Develop Draft 2.0 802.11n Chipsets

Leading Wi-Fi Chipset Provider Employs ACE™ 400NB for Rigorous MIMO Performance Testing

ACTON, MA and Cupertino, CA – February 28, 2007 – Azimuth Systems, Inc., the leading provider of Wi-Fi engineering test equipment, today announced that Ralink Technology, a leading developer of 802.11x WLAN chipsets, has selected the Azimuth Channel Emulator (ACE™) 400NB to perform automated testing of its MIMObility™ draft 802.11n wireless chipsets. The ACE 400NB is a comprehensive channel emulator platform for testing multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and single-input single-output (SISO) Wi-Fi solutions. The ACE’s ability to accurately emulate multipath characteristics enables real-time testing of MIMO devices, streamlining the testing of Wi-Fi chipsets, clients and infrastructure by measuring performance in a real-world environment.
